So what does money look like in the Pokemon universe? I mean from the 'real' anime canon. Not the game stuff like "festival coins" and the other token type game money. What does the paper and coin based money that the characters use, look like? Instead of presidents do they have pokemon on them? Scientists on them? The symbol of money is the stylized P with the line through it, since Red and Blue. How is this pronounced? Are they called Poke` Bucks? Poke` Yen?

They're called yen. They look like yen. The international releases literally just changed the yen symbol that was in the Japanese games to some made-up shit.
