Has anyone here seen Veronica Taylor's Twitter? It's basically just her begging to be Ash in the new movie and hashtagging everything she posts #OriginalAsh. I mean I liked her voice and all but it's been ten years, why hasn't she moved on?

>why hasn't she moved on?
One time wonder syndrome.
People who've never met success as big as that one so they are always pinning for that moment forever never truly moving on because that's all the success they've experienced and know they won't ever be able to replicate it.

Reminds me of that one girl from the office and that other one from hairspray.

>You have a Crowning Moment of Awesome in your past. It haunts you. Either your life went downhill, or you continually fail to match or top that moment, or you try coasting on that glory for the rest of your life.
One of the classic examples is the stereotypical high school jock who won the big game, and spends the rest of his life in an unsatisfying job. Either he didn't make it in college, or he's treated as a rank-and-file Office Drone in the business world. Later he may inform his miserable children that these are the Best Years of Your Life.
TPCi doesn't give a shit, they're not bringing her back nor will they bring back anyone else.
In fact, TPCi will probably use the excuse of "This Movie is an alternate take of the original adventure in Kanto, so Ash might not sound like what he did back then."

A lot of the 4kids VAs are still riding on the "I use to be on Pokemon" title. They haven't been doing much since 4kids went under and that was the highlight of their careers. Doesn't help that the anime was at it's most popular during the 4kids days. It's been 11 years, Natochenny has been voicing Ash longer than Taylor at this point and a whole generation is used to the TPCi voices now.
