New pokemon in USUM

why do some peope think we're getting new pokemon in a cross-gen?

I'm expecting a smattering of new Alolan forms across all generations, and I'm expecting the amount of Pokemon accessible in Alola to be larger.

Not a lot of Alolan forms, though. Maybe 1 or 2 from each Gen.

The reason there was no National Dex in SM is because it will be in USUM!

Because the will put new Pokemon in Alola!

GEN 8 is probaby being devoloped as we speak, so i'm sure they'll save new pokemon for GEN 8 not USUM
(I woudn't be surprised if some GEN 7 pokemon got delayed to GEN 8 so GEN 8 can have more pokemon)

We got brand new pokemon in ORAS (in the form of megas).

You may say "that's different they are formes" but the point stands that we got a follow up game in the same generation that had a LOT of new pokemon you couldn't trade back to XY.
