Born in 96, so it was a combination of Dragonball and DBZ on the Toonami block when I was five or six. Pokémon and Digimon followed soon after, and One Piece followed that. That was pretty much it until I discovered Shonen Jump and all that came with it. Then after they stopped doing physical copies of that, I mostly lost interest in weeb shit with the exception of catching up on things I was already introduced to or things heavily recommended by weeb friends. Not sure why I typed all that out but the short answer is no.

I first saw Voltron on the USA Network years before I knew what that sort of animation was called. It wasn't until I saw it again on Toonami along with Robotech that I became a fan of that animation. I also got into Sailor Moon and DBZ at this time. I first discovered the word "anime" while watching Record of Lodoss War on the Sci-Fi Channel's "Saturday Anime" block. I also got into Gall Force around this time when I first watched Eternal Story the night before Wrestlemania XV. Later that semester, I bought Pokemon Blue, found the anime on Kids' WB, and the rest is history.

tenchi muyo, I remember watching DBZ and the pokemon anime just as much, but I quite literally remember seeing the toonami promo for tenchi and it caught my attention and I was hooked from the first episode.

Poke mon and DBZ just satiated the cravings for more anime.
