Gonna use my original Pokemon Gold team.

Typhlosion probably wouldn't even stick around, Ampharos can use fire punch anyways.

Trying to avoid using the same team I had in Crystal

Old Team:

> Nidoking

New Team:
> Typhlosion
> Furret
> Ariados
> Scizor
> Mantine
> Electabuzz

I haven't given it much thought desu. A lot of things in GS (and the first two gens in general) seem to have fairly shitty stats and/or movepools, so I'll have to look for ones that don't.


Regarding Gligar - it's going to be pretty difficult because it can't learn Earthquake in Gen II and the only Flying attack it gets, Wing Attack, is only available via breeding (you'll need a male Scyther or Yanma to pass it down). Something like Wing Attack/Return/Iron Tail/filler is workable though. It does have two immunities and pretty solid physical bulk, so it's not all bad. (And make sure you're playing Gold since they don't appear at all in Silver.)

I'll probably get Silver since I have Gold on cartridge. So I'll probably end up using Silver exclusives.

The only Pokemon I've decided on so far are Typhlosion and Ampharos. I'll probably just make the rest of my team as I go along.
