It's supposed to be a mafia-based line, though. The gold-hoarding thing ties the draconic aspect into the the "crime syndicate" aspect in a clever and elegant way. Nothing to do with the Fafnir myth.

i still think it's a missed opportunity. Doing something fafnir related is still better than using the name of a class that has been around in videogames for about 30 years now.
