We don't.
Vocarona, Heracross, Pinsir, Scizor, Beedrill, Galvantula, Scolipede and Buzzwole exist.
They're great offensive Pokemon.

And there's also Shuckle, Forretress, and Leavanny, who are great support Pokemon.

Shuckle was even my favorite Pokemon back in the day.
Who knew the concept of mold and bugs could be so cute?
