It's kind of weird, considering that Pokken would have been the perfect opportunity to fix up its proportions and muscle tone.

The reason Incineroar didn't make it is the same exact reason Greninja isn't in, because they're the "obvious choice".
Just look at the reaction everyone had when Decidueye appeared on screen, I doubt Incineroar would've had the same reaction, considering it was the most anticipated, everyone would've seen it coming.
I still think both cat and frog are getting in eventually, but announcing Decidueye first was a good move to ignite interest in the game.

Too many fire types already I guess, two of which are starters. I wouldn't worry much because there's still a movie and potentially Smash. Seems like both Decidueye and Incineroar are getting a pretty equal amount of love. And Primarina is getting nothing.

How disliked must Greninja be to fail to get into Pokkén, despite it seemingly being tailor-made for such thing?
