>>32699312
How are we supposed to rate a game that is not out yet?
>>32699494
>rating SM that low
>compared to everything else
sounds like you just don't like what's new anon
that 2 will more than likely jump up to a 7 or 8 by the time the next gen rolls around
>>32699312
We barely know anything about USM but assuming it fixes at least half of Alola's flaws I'd give it at least an 8
>>32699511
are you retarded? SM is the first pokemon game that is totally trash IMO, im not into braindead stories and 95% trash animated cutscenes thats it. As you can see I rate the other newer games pretty high, so stfu

>im not into braindead stories and 95% trash animated cutscenes thats it.
XY had 32 minutes of cutscenes
ORAS had 24 minutes of cutscenes
SM has 14 minutes of cutscenes
>>32699590
with cutscenes I mean all that trash talk and breaks every minute not actual wanna be cgi cutscenes.
>>32699617
shoot yourself
>>32699590

>>32699644
It's an 8 m8
>>32699312
I don't know why people don't like the Gen 1 games, it's not like there were any expectations.
>>32699312
I feel like I was pretty generous with some of them but whatever
>>32699494
>X and Y that high
>SM that low
So this is the rare autistic Kalosperm in ots natural habitat...
>>32699437
why is this so accurate
>>32699929
because it's as fair as possible rather than being exaggerative
>>32699929
It isn't, what the fuck are you talking about
>>32699312
Reserving judgement for USM until after it is out
I have shit taste but whatever

I rated a lot of these too high. I guess I'm just easy to please.

I have high hopes for U/SM.
I believe my opinions are rather unpopular :/
>>32699312
once again, i have the absolute truth
I'll keep this simple;
Gen 1: The baseline. GB quality and honestly amazing coding in these games. Now a days they get beat up for being the most buggy, but it's a sign of the times they were made in. This is the golden median for me.
Gen 2: G/S took the amazing first gen and just exploded all over it. Became my new gold standard to base the series on. Crystal expanded on this but didn't really overly improve things but the Gameboy Color features gave it an improved score.
Gen 3: Graphics saved this generation for me, also some quality of life additions really helped. Gameplay felt faster to me but some of the missing features from Gen 2 hurt it in other ways. This felt not to be corrected in Emerald, but matched on slightly different terms. The thirst for Post game content is now starting to be a driving force.
Gen 4: At this point, the Music is what keeps the series above baseline plus some of the new tweaks to older pokemon. This generation only really started to shine once Pt was released with it's deeper story lore and with the "upgraded" gen 2 remakes. To me, it was the odd pseudo 2.5D that kind of oddly impacted me but the Music kept me hooked. Over all core gameplay keeps improving as well.
To be continued in next post.

Gen 5: While I agree that this Generation felt the most off... It also took some huge risks with the B2/W2 set of games. Storytelling was amazing, and the concept of difficulties was a much needed feature. Also I enjoyed the Post game of B2/W2 even if it felt somewhat shorter then the past games. Music was still solid, the 2.5D was starting to feel right to me, and in the end he held up to meeting the last gen's highest standards.
Gen 6: Not calling it the shit gen... ok it's still an improvement over the old games but... X/Y was a series reset in my eye. The new true 3D style of play was rocky at best but not super bad. OR/AS tried to fix this, tried to ass more "Post" game content... but it fell short. This is the first generation in my eye that just, did not make a lot of super forward progress.
Gen 7: feels like Gen 6, 3D movement is improved but still not 100% what I'd expect. too much pressure on story telling via hand holding... worse then gen 6 actually. I've yet to see from just these first 2 games this generation any improvement from the previous. US/UM even with the bar filled are not a proper evaluation, but it gives me a B2/W2 vibe from the trailer and I have high expectations. I do expect this score to drop, I just hope it can hold improvement over gen 5&6.
