Why do you think game freak stopped doing crossgen evolutions?

Gen 8 will have:
- New Regional Formes akin to Alola formes for Johto pokemon
- A few new evolutions for old pokemon in the syle of Slowking and Politoed
- Very small selection of megas of gen 5-7 pokemon
- More gen 4 megas with the Diamond and Pearl remakes.
