Third versions have historically been the best games in the franchise.
I mean, remakes also used to be some of the best too but then ORAS happened so maybe Game Freak will fuck this up too but it's something to be a little hopeful for.
This is a chance for them to add in the areas that were seemingly cut from the original game, add following Pokémon like what people have found in the scrapped files, make less cutscenes, make less linear roadblocks, and add postgame. It's fucking Game Freak so they probably won't do half this but we can dream.
I'm just glad it's on 3DS and I'm not forced to drop the series or get a Switch.

This isn't a follow up or a sequel. It's an enhanced version of the original SM with some new content scattered in so retards like you think you're getting a brand new product. It won't continue the story unless they add things like challenging Alola gyms and following Lillie to Kanto in the post game. Which everyone knows they won't.
