Come on. You know better than that. If Megas do return, they would probably keep the pure Electric typing on it.

There's a reason they didn't add any gen 7 megas, kept the mechanic locked away until post-game, and didn't even fucking include all the old stones by default.

I thought it was a cool idea, it put life into a lot of older mons that were kinda shit. But GF clearly wants us to move on. Z-moves are the hip and happening thing now.

Pessimism aside I would have loved a Mega Tropius or Mega Lapras.

Why would you do that. If you give something an -ate ability, at least give them STAB on it. And don't put an -ate ability on a Normal-type, that's just cruel. And finally, Staraptor already has Close Combat, why would it need a Fighting-type -ate? Let it be Fighting/Flying with, like, Tough Claws or Adaptability or someshit I don't know. Hell, it could even keep Intimidate or Reckless, they're both perfectly fine abilities.
