Apart from being the comfiest region, it was the game I played during my most formative year, and I love it just for that. A remake would be stellar.

The reaction to D/P when it came out was that it was a rehash of the previous games and that Game Freak is running out of ideas. But if you still call yourself a Pokemon fan, you either don't care that the series never changes or you didn't grow up playing Gen 1/2/3.

What's wrong with Platinum? Aside from the painfully slow battles, the world was vibrant, and interesting, and gen 4 has the best starters. Basically, everything that was ACTUALLY wrong with Sinnoh is easily salvageable via a remake.
