I know 2nd gen and the 4th gen remakes get a lot of praise for having kanto but i HATE what they did with Kanto. The region literally lost its spark and soul. Caves destroyed, routes shortened and butchered, the most iconic and memorable town (Lavender) changed into pointless shithole. Ugh

They moved Diglett's Cave to Vermilion City in GSC.

How so? They brought back Viridian Forest, Pewter Museum of Science, Cerulean Cave, and the Seafoam Islands.

They also repurposed the Safari Zone into Pal Park and improved Cinnabar Gym in the Seafoam. Silph Co. also has a purpose now.
