When I played Pokemon Diamond as a 8 year old kid, I named the Riolu you get from Iron Island "EGG".

I also named a random skorupi "ME".

In Ruby my main party consisted of mostly dragons, and I taught them all Fly.

Back in Emerald, I used an Adamant Absol with Thunder/Blizzard/Fire Blast/Hyper Beam.

I still use it even now in Moon with an Absolite, appropriate moveset and Hyper/EV trained.

I laughed harder than I should have.

I became interested in pokemon when I was 13 or so and I wrote several notebooks worth of a Pokemon story staring myself and my Nidoran female.

I stopped for a couple years when I finished HS but picked it back up and currently have like 200 pages in a word document.

I nickname every single Pokemon I catch. Every. Single. One.

I write fanfic without publishing them.

I've fished at least one pokemon on every possible water tile in every game. It started with obsessing over feebas in gen3 but I've since expanded it to every region in each generation
And I mean every possible tile, including every water route in hoenn and all of azure bay in kalos. SM was kinda fucked, what with fishing restricted to the rock piles in only a few locations, but I've fished in all of them now. You can thank me for contributing about 150 fishings to the current global mission
I don't think anyone has ever done this but me, so at least I have some kind of accomplishment.

When I first played Colosseum I eventually got to that mountain that had tons of trainers and required you to get Entei to advance the plot.
However, I didn't read the dialogue and thought that you had to defeat everyone in there until you could move on.
It wasn't until somewhere after the 70th trainer that a friend told me that this was completely optional.

As a result I then had Espeon, Umbreon and Plusle all around level 70 and was fighting other mons in their 20s to 50s for the rest of the game.

This reminds me of the time I sent a friend a eevee to borrow for breeding, later remembered that I accidentally put my old amber on it, and ended up trading him five nuggets to get the amber back.

When I was in college I wrote a fanfic of Pokemon Yellow that was dark and gritty (Pokemon killed each other, Team Rocket were actual terrorists, Wild Pokemon were wild animals that gladly killed to eat, etc.)

It was over 200 pages long before I started taking medication and lost all motivation and energy to write.

For most of my career I had this autist hate for grinding

I'd always reach the E4 slightly underleveled and I shit you nto I would rather throw myself at them head first tens of times, losing money each time and using the exp to level up one damn level at a time, every time getting closer to figuring ou t how to make their pokemon faint, than go back to the victory road to grind.

Truth to be told, I'm probably still like that. Fuck grinding on wild pokemon.
