Japanese polls are usually slanted in favor or FOTM characters, followed by the solidly popular characters. The answer is no, unless no Gen 7 Pokemon appeals to them.

The simple answer is no. Gen 6 hype or greninja hype as a whole is over. And the top pokemon will most likely be charizard or a pokemon riseeving attention from the anime. Or a pokemon in she's team that's fully evolved that's in the anime. Usually those kind of pokemons are the ones to get most attention or become most loved. But I can see greninja somewhere in top 10 or 20 at his lowest.
