Depend on where. Most of the time I don't, but if I was with a bunch of friends who also play it, I'd bring my 3DS in case they've also got theirs. I also would bring it to somewhere where it's a lot more likely there'd be other people with 3DSes, like a convention, but otherwise, not really.

I'm not against the idea of it, but I don't really play games when I go out because like.. well if I'm going out, I'm out for a reason, there's no point in playing games. Maybe if I were commuting somewhere, but im usually driving then anyway.

Not gonna lie, I only play DS in public on planes or transit, and only if I am sitting to someone more beta then me and I know others won't see.
I also play smash / Pokemon on DS if there's mostly Asians around or if next to Asian.

Literally, bet 3 gyms on a plane cause Asian guy was next to me, flight back was white guy so I just sat there listened to music.

Used to, but now since I have a kindle I'd rather take that out than my 3DS.

If I ever feel like doing it I will though, I already know people won't think particularly high of me at first glance anyway so who gives a shit? I'd rather get known as the guy that plays pokemon than as the guy who plays LoL which is what people were assuming of me on my first days in college

I have played my DS on the bus, in class and in the cafeteria when I was a student in high school. So far as an adult I have only played my 3DS at the library and while waiting for my to go order.
If you're scared or embarrassed to play your video games in public then you may actually be autistic. It's not like you're gonna get bullied, most likely nobody will even say anything.

I didn't really get out much with my 3DS, didn't find it practical.

However I use my switch a LOT on the bus and at work, even though it's technically bigger. It's hard to explain the difference but I love it; maybe it's the quality of the games.

This idea of being embarrassed by what you do in public shows you're all way too self-conscious about what you do. As long as you're not being a faggot about it (e.g. blaring sound in the bus) this is the same as using a phone.

Sooo. sometimes i carry 3ds on my bag, but i play when i'm waiting for something, when in the car (not driving), in a boring class when I can't talk, etc.... On social occcasions and gatherings, i often talk to people, and i think is lack of education playing 3ds or listeing music when people are around interacting with you.

I don't have the option to really play in public like I used to, but back when I had a long transit, playing my 3DS on the bus or subway was really nothing too outlandish.
