Pretty much the same with me. Greninja himself grew on me enough to become my all-time favorite Pokemon, but i still hate the look and concept of Greninjash.

Wow, what a riveting turn of events.

But asides from Charizard (which I grew tired of his exposition later on despite initial liking, gosh, I even dread misclicking Pelago just because of that long ass cutscene) and Blaziken (at the time, I wasn't exposed to Blaziken pandering, only much later realized he was introduced early in the anime, just picked Torchic and went with it without knowing what it'd become, which in the end, I took a liking to it but wasn't that much in love with it either), not that many. I actually liked having Togepi/Togetic on my GS team and liked its episodes back then, just an egg mon. Togetic episode was fucking sad for me.

Never found Piplup all that charming for whatever reason, Oshawott was eh to me. Lucario is really fucking forced and can't feel like bothering myself to like it just because it happens to be shilled, If I had liked it before, I would have simply continued to like it. Mewtwo is a classic, but often shilled side to side with Charizard. I found its female portrayal rather odd because of seeing the original movie, thus not being used to it.

Rockruff is kinda forgettable and just acts like your average dog. Don't really care for its evos. One is just average dog except more grown up and the other is a bit zany and crazier, but still kinda eh.

I often pretend Incineroar doesn't exist. Even when I don't try, it's easy to forget about him. When he's all alone in the Alolan Dex as it is, he stands out, but as soon you realize the other Fire starters exist, he doesn't stand out as much since everyone is biped except Typhlosion. If he were the exception among a sea of quadruped Fire starters, maybe I'd care more, but as of now, I'm unbelievably tired of Fire starter mons in general.

Charizard shilling can get annoying, but I don't dislike the design like I do some of the others (mostly Incineroar). I actually like Rockruff enough, mostly because daytime Doggo is one of my favorite Rock-types.

I'm normally not a hardcore Genwunner fag, but remembering the hype I had as a kid for the first movie and seeing mewtwo 'in lore' context made me think "this is the most powerful pokemon. Deliberately created to be above all others"

Of course, these days I'd still accept him being below some of the more major 'natural' legends like Rayquaza or the creation trio. And WAY below Arceus (who I feel should be massively buffed to where not even AG would allow for Arceus)

Did anybody actually hate the giant shuriken on Ash-greninja? Because that was a brilliant concept imo. The red on its forehead that sometimes glows fits really good as well. It's just those retarded sideburns that ruins the design.

Charizard is on the bottom end of okay IMO, would like it better if Zard-X didn't exist.

Fine with Pikachu honestly, it's been the face of the series since forever so it makes sense for it to get pushed so hard and it hasn't been given anything too obnoxious yet.

Mewtwo again is okay, like Zard it didn't really need two megas but neither of them are edgy fanboy bait on the same level as Zard X, Mewtwo itself has always been pretty edgy itself however. Then again it's always been pushed hard as the baddest pokemon around so it's hard to resent it for that when it's always been the status quo.

Not even sure if Togepi counts as a pandermon honestly, it was only really put in the spotlight in the anime a long time ago and not for that long. I like its evolutions less than it.

Blaziken is one of those fanbait pokemon and GF have given it a lot of special treatment from Gen 5 onwards, giving it access to Speed Boost was a dumb and honestly nonsensical decision that made it one of the most busted threats in the game, then they give it a really strong mega a game ahead of the other gen 3 starters. I don't hate the design but there's no denying it's been shilled hard so I don't like it all that much.

Piplup and Oshawott only really get shilled in the anime and/or as generic cutemons for girls to squee over, and there are plenty others along the same lines so they're both pretty inoffensive. Not really shillmons imo.

Lucario is much the same as Blaziken with the difference that it's a made for order shillmon that's been marketed hard since day 1, even before gen 4 was released. How they gave it one of the most broken megas and then shove it in your face in XY's story made it blatantly obvious that GF absolutely love this thing. I don't think it's design is objectively bad but I can't get over how it feels like it was designed by committee to appeal to edgy teens.

Gren was probably my favourite starter when it came out but the harder they shill it the more I dislike it. The fact that it's always been really strong in the meta and only keeps getting more and more broken doesn't help. I think Ass-Gren was the final straw though, it pushed its edginess up to eleven, plus I don't like they're shoehorning ill-conceived anime bullshit into the games as a marketing ploy. Even though its a pokemon I would otherwise like a lot all the recent shilling has really spoilt it for me.

The fact that they're shilling Rockruff and his line honestly makes little sense for me because the entire line is pretty bland. Maybe they looked at lucario's success and figured that the fanbase has a lot of wolfaboos in it so it'd be a sure hit? They might be right but honestly I don't feel much about this line either way.

I dislike Incineroar's design a lot, desu I've come to dislike all three of gen 7's starters for various reasons. The fact that they've picked this one to shill is confusing, surely Decidueye is the more natural choice because of the hood and the archer motif making it a natural fave for the edgy teen demographic. Anyway, I don't dislike Incineroar because it's shilled per se, I just hate it anyway because of its shit aesthetics and also because it was clearly meant to be yet another Fire / Fighting type that they slapped Dark typing onto at the last minute to cover their asses.

Also, you missed Zoroark, Darkrai, Genesect and arguably a couple of others, OP.

My least favourite pandermon is actually the entirety of gen 1 come to think of it
