On the Ruse Cruise and I'm starting to suspect Kymmi's Oreon's crit ratio is jacked the fuck up.
After like 4 defeats I started save scumming in order to test Oreon's crit ratio and record it. Keep in mind the only move she used while testing was Surf, so it may just be this move's ratio and not her as a whole.
What I did was I made a quicksave right before selecting a move, observe results, record, then quickloaded and repeated.
I did this 25 times, X's are crits while —'s are normal hits. The results looked like this:

16/25 —> 64% chance that her hit would be a critical.

Were you holding the speedup button during the battle? I've seen some situations where the rng will hit the same value over multiple turns like that in the past.

The Wonder Trade system was an amazing idea, but right now it is a half assed mess. No save scummimg was nice, but to get something good, you need at least an hour.
There are two solutions to this problem.
1. Remove (or drastically reduce to something like 10s) the waiting time after you become the Champion.
2. Rework the pools so they track each species separately. There won't be 5 separate GudChickens to pick from the pool, just single Kengeon species. After picking the species from the rolled rarity pool, the game will randomly select one of the variants. An example. The game rolls the Penis Rare pool (1/100=1%). Out of the 20 possible mons, the game picks Biteki.(1/20=5%) Out of the 5 possible Bitekis, A,B,C,D and E, Biteki E (1/5=20%), only Biteki with perfect IVs is selected. So the chance to get a Penis Rare mon is 1%, chance to get a Biteki is 0,05%, and chance to get a Biteki with perfect IVs is 0,01%.
This way, the system will be far less annoying. If for nothing else, only for the increase in variability of mons.
