First encountered was a shiny meditite in Mt. Coronet in either diamond or platinum, can't remember which. Didn't have any pokeballs on me for some reason so I just ran. First obtained was a a shiny ralts I had hatched from an egg on Platinum.
Then a few years later I was replaying Platinum, ran into another shiny meditite in Mt. Coronet, same area too(Eterna City entrance both times)
