Eh, I'm not entirely sure. I'm not a moai statue (assuming it's based on that) expert, but it's clear that it's not a design I would pick. If I did, most likely chance is, I might have been forced to. I don't have any strong feelings against it so. It's just there. Somehow, it got fans, which I admire.

Either I don't pick a pokemon out of its concept not interesting me, which may find apathy from me all in all or, I do like/got fond of the pokemon's concept, but feel somewhat forced to voice my opinion regarding its design, which may not feel either practical for the pokemon itself, suitable for its theme, with improper simple/complex balance or with lack of potential, but that is only if I'm familiar with parts of the concept or researched its basis well enough.

It's supposed to be a restored Moai (hence the hat) plus a compass rose (hence the mini noses), but the ugly iron pubes ruin it. I'm still not sure if I like it or not, 10 years later.

It IS creative, but it is ugly.
If it had its iron moustache drawn in a more defined way like a-golem's it might make clearer to people seeing it for the first time that it is supposed to be magnetic dust instead of "dude pubes xD". It doesn't help that normies get that kind of first impression, because they never bother to look up the reason behind the design elements afterwards.

Its head shape is also pretty weird when you look at it for a while. If you remove the noses it is a black cilinder with goggly eyes and a big red hat ontop. The hat is the part that annoys me the most about it. I know some moais from the easter island have it (it is called "pukao") and it does indeed look silly on them in real life, but those moais are also more slender than probopass' base body, and their pukao is around the same width.
