I'll start:
1. Embursar (Ember + Ursa)
Type: Fire
2. Surcinerate (Sun + Ursa + Incinerate)
Type: Fire
>>32649171
>>32649171
really like both these designs. The only issues I have are the first one kinda looks like a rabbit because of the ears, and the second one looks like it has a really long neck. Are these based on sun bears?
>>32649171
I don't get the long ears on Embursa, also the head is to big for the body and the eyes are to big.
Surcinerate body should be more like a bear body like Ursaring
>>32649171
Are you Moor?
>>32649171
cool design, it looks more electric bear if you color the neck yellow
>>32649625
and the evolution
>>32649632
one more just for the hell of it
Titerling
Fairy/flying
Ability: Lactate
CLOVER REJECTS AHOY
>>32649669
POKEMON CLOVER > ALL FAKEMONS
An idea I have is to base my starters on classic movie monsters.
Grass - mummy
Water - vampire
Fire - don't know yet
How does a vampire manta ray sound?
>>32650382
A zombie on fire maybe?
Lysyderm [Lyserg + Pachyderm]
Poison/Psychic type based upon drug/toxin induced hallucinations. I know he's a bit overdone but I just don't know how to tone him down while keeping that dreamlike feel.
>>32650382
The water starter needs to be something that could actually go on land
Also the general idea reminds be of this
>>32650382
Flarewolf
>>32650444
This is actually a really cool idea.
I like the design and concept a lot.
>>32649620
Yeah they're based on a combination of sun bears and black bears. That's why the ears are long in the first stage.
>>32649584
No.
From here on out I'm dumping
1. Flifowlot (Flying + Fowl + Pilot)
Type: Normal/Flying
2. Soaraviot (Soar + "Avem" (common Latin for "bird" + Pilot)
Type: Normal/Flying
Based on Migrating ducks, old school pilots, and airplanes.
>>32650591
I really like Grass starter, and water starter. Fire could use some work.
>>32650822
Good designs and VERY shitty names
Go with Fowlot (fowl + pilot) and something with Baron and goose for the evolution.
>>32650591
embrace your designs.
as it is, the fire is too furry, grass is too humanoid, and water is too weird. They all need to be even more out there if they are to pass, yet at the same time you need to imagine you are pitching them as merchandise-sellers to a table full of japanese businessmen.
>>32650444
> I just don't know how to tone him down while keeping that dreamlike feel.
cutify it
>>32650822
solid design mate. names are a bit of a mouthful though. basic should be two syllables at most. What about Flylot for the basic, into Ramallard for the Stage 1? (Ramjet/Mallard)
>>32650822
1. Cootikiss (Cooties + Kiss)
Type: Bug/Fairy or Poison (don't know yet)
Its primarily based on kissing bugs, literal "love bugs", the imaginary childhood game 'cooties" which is actually the name of a type of body louse, and the literary trope of the "dangerous kiss."
2. Gatlinsect (Gatling Gun + Insect)
Type: Bug/Fire
Based on the bombardier beetle, cannons, and army soldiers. (This is my personal least favorite.)
2. Balbulant (Ball + Bullet + Ant)
Type: Bug/Steel
Stats: 40/130/20/20/20/130
I was thinking that both previous Fakemon could kind of exist as a symbiotic relationship, where Balbulants allow Gatlinsect to fire them out of their "cannon" as a means of self defense. Similar to a bullet, and gun, they would probably have an ability based on that. Which would make them good for doubles.
3. Froscoloss (Frost + Colossus)
Type: Ice
Based on the yeti, and frost giants from Norse mythology.
>>32650894
they're not mine. They're from a thread from a long time ago
>>32650873
Thanks. Names really aren't my strong points. They're kind of last minute for me.
>>32650916
Thanks. And I really like Ramallard as opposed to what I previously made up.
1. Poipoli (Poison + Polliwog)
Type: Poison or Normal/Poison
2. Canoxious (Cane Toad + Noxious)
Type: Poison or Normal/Poison
They're primarily based on Cane Toads. They last evolution houses a poisonous sacs on its back, that are meant to resemble an egg sac.
3. Titrigid (Titan + Frigid)
Type: Ice/Dark
Stats: 90/121/70/64/80/109
Evolved form of Froscoloss. Based on the Yeti, Norse Frost Giants, hockey players, and the grim reaper.
1. Upclux ("Up chuck + Cluck)
Type: Poison
Based on a sick chicken and a play on the phrase "chicken pox."
>>32650382
>>32650591
A-actually those are mine too
God, looking at what my younger self did....shit on me as appropriate!
Granted I like the water and grass in concept, but names and execution.
>Grasio (Grass + Io)
The Autumn Calf Pokemon
Grasio are only born during the fall season and are almost always female. Several seeds form and release on their bodies, making it a highly sought after pokemon amongst farmers.
>Fantagi (Elephant + Agni)
The Regal Pokemon
Weeks after a Fantagi is born, it instinctively break off its small tusk and forges it into a sword with its fire. The jewels that grow on its ears and trunk are hot enough to melt metal.
Goreddy (Gorilla + Eddy)
The Deep swim pokemon
>Goreddy can only be hatched in water and unable to live on land until weeks after they are born. The tubes on their arms weigh ten times that of their body and spin when water attacks are released.
May re-try them.
Flying/Psychic
>>32651166
Grass/fire
>>32650591
I love the giant tube worm
>>32650928
>>32651084
Cootikiss, Froscoloss and Titrigid are fucking God-tier.
>>32650637
Seconded I like Flarewolf. It's simple but it would totally work.
name?
>>32651745
Interesting concept. Would like to see a drawfriend make a cleaner illustration of this. Also there are already two ghost pyramid fakemon that are called spiramid
>>32652931
Buzzwimp
I'll post some doodles I did today.
Starter ideas for ancient/mystical themed region.
>>32653077
The water line is my favorite
>>32653081
And the least impressive is the fire line.
You can tell I left this one half baked.
My artwork is obviously not quite there but I like to think my names are pretty decent.
>>32653087
Holy shit, you need to totally redesign the fire line, and maybe also change the grass line a little bit, pokemon tend to have natural weapons instead of artificial weapons
>>32651213
I love this guy so much. One of the best water starters I've seen.
