Yeah, that's the main issue, it's abilities. Illuminate is a joke of an ability alongside effect spore, but at least parasect gets dry skin to make up for its bad abilities.
And then amoongus is basically a better version of both. Regenerator, reasonable defensive stats+HP, spore. Shiinotic would be so much better if it was at least pure grass, or grass psychic to match the alien theme over fairy so it could more easily be paired up with tapu bulu or lele since the other two terrains fuck with its ability to put things to sleep...There's too much wrong with it, as much as I like it. Although the HP regen from strength sap with a big root is hilarious and it is great for battle royal, so they at least managed to make it useful SOMEWHERE, just only in a format that very few sadly play.
