Frosowl is not good. Get caracold if you want an ice type for the time being. He's a good special attacker but he gets outclassed by about the sixth gym. Lasslee is good though. WIfemin was in my hall of fame team. She's can tank hits like nobody's business and her special attack isnt bad.

Shit I might be fucked then. I'm at the league with only $40000 and a team of level 70s. I got to Saxton Hale the first time and ran out of items. I think I could take the E4 if I had enough money for revives and full restores but unfortunately I don't. I guess my only other option is to grind to Level 80 or something.

Was hoping I could at least grind the E4 for money to buy items with but the bird that Bendova leads with absolutely eviscerates my team and it takes like 3 sacs to beat it. Just fuck my shit up senpai

I beat the League with cca 65s, 50k worth of money and no save states. Just use your head, Anon.
Save the game manually before each fight, to no black out if you fuck up.
Think ahead, use strategy.
reusable TMs and SE moves are your friend.
If you have only 5 mons and a HM slave, swtich the slave for something with intimidate and/or status moves.
>3 sacs to kill Upchucken.
I agree, it is probably the hardest mon of the hardest league member.
But consider the following:
Flying has weakness to Rock, Ice, and electric. Use some of these types with STAB to KO.
Or use statuses. Will-O-Wisp neutralizes it, Thunder Wave and Toxic are quite helpful, too.
Also moveset: Double Edge, Flare Blitz, Bravest Bird, Swords dance. Why won't you destroy it with some nice Rock mon?
Alternately, git gud or just grind to obscene levels to get rid of any semblance of difficulty.

Just finished playing through the demo version. I noticed the following bugs:
1. Status effects sometimes fail to work on my pokemon. Most often my fleespecs; enemy would use spore or wil-o-wisp, nothing at all would happen, and there would be no dialogue saying it missed. Fleespecs has download.
2. Weed plants at border had mexican NPCs as sprites which disappeared when weed was taken.
3. Not-very-effective attacks would often say "it wasn't very effective" twice.

Hope this helps somehow, I can't wait for the final version.

If the skeletons in Bury You tower could just be powerful trainers and not shitwipes who force save scumming, then the burial tower would have a use other than progressing the story along and catching Scytill.

These are TMs that 98% of Pokémon can learn in the main games and in Clover. Randomly, these Pokémon just don't learn these. They make sense sometimes (Pikotton can't learn Toxic, Sadrog can't learn Attract, etc.) but these come off as mistakes.

take your clean fire red rom and patch today's build of clover over it. if you have it named as "clover 5-31-2017.gba" afterwards then you want to rename your save to "clover 5-31-2017.sav" and place it in the same folder.

after you patch fire red to clover, you then use the ips i posted to remove the cheat detection

I played the whole hack on free mobile emulator that had only 2x speed and no save states.
Grdinding is just a crutch, and a bad one. If you aren't delibaretaly using shitmons and using your head, there is little to no reason to lose fights. There might be exceptions, like some bosses, but you know you can just get a shitmon with intimidate/status moves that will make the game a lot easier? Or just use the reusable TMs to get coverage?
Clover might be a hard game, but if you really need to grind, you just should git gud instead.

Icebeam, Thunderbolt and Flamethrower have been Game Corner TMs since 3rd gen. It's not like you really need those moves in Clover. Mons in Clover generally have much better level up movepool and their TM learnset isn't like Kanto where everything got BoltBeam combo.

The reusable TM for your epic move costs 4000 coins. That is 80 000 PokéShekels, if you don't play at all. The price is comparable to TMs in Gen V shops. I defend save states because there's a reason that Nintendo implemented Restore Points in their VC games. Then again, there's a reason they removed the feature from Pokemon, but that doesn't mean that every VC game that has slot machines got Restore Points taken away. They were just worried about how the RNG would be handled with restore points thrown into the mix.

It's just a convenience. I've done Game Corner stuff without save states. Hell, I used an in-game Porygon in FRLG once. Getting it wasn't even THAT bad.
