This, if we learned anything from Quaggy Bizarre Tiering Adventure is that a Pokémon can be consistent in all tiers as long as it's niche isn't outclassed by something else.

Quaggy and Slowbro pull off shit no other water Pokémon can imitate or surpass even with the same typing, they might have little usage but their role is highly coveted by specific strategies.

I was top 300 in every season for the entire season until this one (OU). Curious to know why you think I'm "bad" though.

I'm sure you're going to trot out tired arguments like: "WULL IF U BAN LEGENDARIES DEN THE NEXT MOST-POWERFUL POKEMON WILL JUST BE POPULAR ANYWAY SO DERE'S NO POINT!!!!!!!!!!!"

When we're talking about pokemon with over 600 BST it's safe to say we can ban these pokemon, especially when they have ludicrous movepools that are impossible to predict as an opponent. The "next most strongest" pokemon are shit like garchomp that have 1 possible set, maybe 2. They will not utterly dominate the metagame in the same way that Lando-T does.

Tokapex can't deal with psychic types that destroy mega Venusaur. Tokapex can't do shit to Ferrothorn.

Slowbro has a big utility boost in the fact that it gets to use Fireblast, thunder wave and psychic, Tokapex is a very passive Pokémon that kills momentum, heck slowbro even got CM to boost its damage output in some scenarios.

Seriously, Tokapex is way too passive for its own good, if I'm looking for a steel and fighting resist I'm always favoring Slowbro over Tokapex as my pivot, even if I gain an u turn magnet it's always good to resist stab psychock.

Are you aware that slowbro carries Fireblast and its a straight OHKO on ferrothorn with minimal investment?

If anything the existence of Ferrothorn and Celesteela give Slowbro a big niche over Tokapex.

went from NU and gradually built up to OU and then again slowly climbed down to PU, and now it's currently residing in gen 6 BL4. Here's hoping Quagsire actually stays in one place for a good while this gen; the guy needs a break after moving around everywhere last gen
