Japanese name for the move Coil is 'Snake Coil', which is why it's a Poison-type move. It raises Attack, Defense and Accuracy, because it implies the user can coil its body up like a snake that's about to strike. Which the Magnemite family cannot remotely do.

Draco Meteor is, in-universe, treated as "that super special Dragon move that only powerful, TRUE dragons can know!" I agree that they should break tradition though, and give it to Minior. Besides, Jirachi gets it via event anyway and Arceus isn't always a Dragon-type.

Japanese Meteor Mash is 'Comet Punch'. (Meanwhile Comet Punch is 'Consecutive Punch'.) Minior can't punch things, but again I wish they'd just give it to it anyway.

They probably either forgot to give it to Minior, or were afraid of shenanigans when combined with its ability, though I don't see what trouble that would cause.

This. All 7th gen pokémon families got a brand new exclusive move, ability or both. The only exceptions are some Alolan forms, Midnight Lycanroc, and the UBs although they share Beast Boost.

(Also that's like the third time I've posted that.)

Anyway.... You just know that they're going to redistribute those nex gen. I assume Musharna's new HA will be Comatose. Shadow Bone could go to Mandibuzz and maybe Dusknoir. They might choose one pokémon each to share the Surge abilities that the Tapus have, like how they chose 4 old pokémon to give weather-setting abilities to this gen.

It'll be interesting to see where Accelerock goes.
