Well, yeah. Gold and Silver kept most things from Red and Green if we discount the changes to Kanto. Crystal brought online multiplayer to Japan as well.

Well I am actually kind of enjoying S/M it's a nice deviation on the formula and Ash is competent enough while still behaving like an actual 10 year old.

The only loss he's had so far was against Team Rocket, which sounds bad but Jessie and James have caught some pretty incredible Pokemon this time around. He also lost twice to Tapu-Koko but that's not exactly a fair fight.

I'd like the Box Legends to just be exciting finds rather than central plot points. FFS they shoehorned it into Gen 6 and I kept wondering why they felt they just HAD to make it related to Team Flare if it was going to be so awkwardly forced in. Why not just have them be their own thing?
