Its a little complicated. First of all, its all about cp. A high iv mon will have a higher cp cap than a low iv, but not by much. Secondly, the lower cp your attackers have (in relation to the defenders) the more prestige they can take from a rival gym/add to a freindly.

Then you have to factor defense. Right now, blissey is the "best" defender bc of the insane defense, tho Ttar has the highest cp cap so it would presumably last longer in battle. Dragonite is also a great defender.

AND THEN you have to remember about type matchups. A machamp with duo fighting moves will eat a blissey alive but only if it has the cp to survive a few hits, so there you have your precious iv's again.

However, I advise you wait for the gym rework to avoid dumping all your stardust into a future worthless mon.

On Clearwater Beach when the game came out last year they were all over the place, like 5 or 6 per mile of beach. Stopped playing for 7 months and just picked it up again. They're still there but now I can only catch 5 or 6 a week with low ivs. Only 89 plus ones are from eggs.

You get a prestige bonus depending on the highest CP user of your party, which caps at +1000 prestige per Pokemon you defeat (which is obtained by having your highest be half of what you defeated).

For example, if you defeat a 3000 CP Snorlax with a 3000 CP Pokemon, you'll only obtain +100 Prestige. Botting, really anything that flags your account and gives the black warning every time you open the game. So IV apps that use your password to sign in and pretend to be you so they can rename everything MAY trip the wire. Botting and hitting the daily spin/catch limit will do it. Not sure if softbanning or manual sniping does it yet, still determining that as of now.

The only thing i can think of is if they have the legendary events occur simultaniously at varying locations around the world.

E.g.

Mewtwo event;
Eiffel Tower, France
Tokyo Tower, Japan
Times Square, New York
etc...

Though if they mess up the legendary event then it'll lose a lot of players, they need to be fairly easy to get.

This idea promotes teamwork and real-life interactions, and is not inherently bad. Their execution of it could very easily be bad, but they could do something neat with it.
