As much as I like monotype, I kinda hate how most teams are pretty similar. Every poison team has a mega venu and muk, every fire team has a torkoal and megazard, every electric team has a koko and alolachu, every fighting team has kommo-o and cobalion, etc. The problem is that you CAN use something wacky like seviper or tropius, but you're crippling yourself by not using the handful of good mons the type has to offer because one bad teamslot can lead to your poison team autolosing to psychic or ground types or your ice team being helpless against scizor.
