How can I improve my deck? This is my best deck, i have a 77% win rate after 100 battles, I'm quite new to the game. I like this deck because it feels very versatile, I'm never caught without energy or pokemon and have a few good ones to deal with pesky EX pokemon like Regice.

It sets up perfectly. have one metal on Cosmog before it evolves, evolve it, sol burst, attach 2 to it, 2 to a benched cosmog and a DCE to your Rayquaza.

The only difference between his list and mine is he used Drampa which I promptly stole cause it's a good idea. With Lele/Skyla the reliability of landing a turn 2 sol burst skyrockets compared to what it was in SM era.

The reason your winrate is high is because you will often be matched with people using pretty mediocre decks as your own isn't particularly good.
I would suggest picking one or two cards you can rely on attacking with, a something that supports them. 1-1 is rarely good if you need the card, they key to a good deck is consistency so making sure you can get what you want or need fairly easily is really important.

Run a few staples like Sycamore and Ultra Ball. VS Seeker is pretty much a must have because it removes any need for thoughtful use of supporters.
Basically look at regularly used decks, check for any recurring themes, imitate them where it matters. Find a focus for the deck.

ew, you need to figure out what poke you want to build around, strip out most of the trainers and you should probably switch this to a standard deck since this is turboshit by expanded standards. Way too many 1 of cards, you can never depend on anything in a list like this.

Read the FAQ and look at the image faq. 20 energy is way too many, a deck shouldn't ever really go over 15 with the exception of memes like Typhlosion. Most decks average about 10-12.

Because they let you move through your deck more than twice as fast and getting cards you don't need into discard thins your deck which improves the probability of drawing something you need lategame. Granted there's not much you 'need' in this deck because it's a very hazy sort of deck with no clear win condition, you just kind of click cards in a deck like this and hope you have what you need when you need it, which is bad. As the other guy said your WR means nothing online because you get matched with players of a similar skill level, you will get absolutely trashed against any decent player.

Tierno/Cheren/Hau has never been a useful card. Draw 3 then the next turn they N and shuffle you back down to 6 anyways, and unlike Sycamore cards you don't need are getting shuffled back into your deck instead of dropped into your discard where you can use VS seeker and super rod to strategically move cards you want back into play.

This is more like what you should be playing if you want to do Gyarados, granted you need to trade for a lot of these cards but this should be your goal. It's a really good deck, though you'll want to add a Mr. Mime to avoid getting wrecked by koko promo. Decidueye kind of ruins this deck but hey, everyone's gotta have a bad matchup.

Having played with and against Espeon it's pretty balanced. While it seems versatile there's a lot it can't do for a one time attack, such as oneshotting Shaymin. Best used for KOing low hp basics or stuff that you can't kill with Psychic because resistances/low energy. Can also use it to set up future Psychic KOs

If you want Ancient Origins Gyarados with berserker splash (not the ancient trait one) and not trade for much more, support it with a couple more Regice and Articuno. Try to get your hands on Octillery with the ability that lets you draw. You can drop Lapras, Kyurem, Crosola, the Milotic line, it's all bloat. A Manaphy EX might be valuable to you, but if you want to remain free from EX then float stones are potentially required.

No need for things like Wally, lucky helmet, max revive or Brock's Grit. Possibly more of Rough Seas or the new stadium that lets you search for basic waters (not really too useful for that deck). Aqua Patch, and super rod will be worth using. You can drop energy retrieval.
This is being extremely budget friendly, so if you can spare packs to make other decks I would strongly recommend doing that instead.

I would have thought it fits much better in decks that either have direct issues with opposing special energy decks, have big tanky partners that aren't getting OHKOd, or at the very least in decks where there isn't a better GX attack up for use (i.e. Tauros).

Choice Banded Drampa's Berserk does exactly 180 damage. It's your secondary attacker for when Garb doesn't have enough Items, or they've failed to oneshot something, and it can hit really hard without having to rely on a GX move like Tauros. Having a reusable, non-Item Enhanced Hammer is just a bonus.

Having lots of different Pokémon in your deck is, if anything, a hinderance, not a benefit. You should only add an extra evolution line if it does something completely unique that the rest of your Pokémon don't do.
Also, a trainer that lets you get more cards is always better than just waiting to draw the card you want.

Right so I've tried to make these changes but since doing so i have lost 10 times in a row, the deck is unworkable. Partly because i simply do not have the cards needed, i only have one VS seeker, so my deck is very rigid and inflexible, i can never move energies around, by the time i even have a pokemon ready to attack i have lost several cards and my opponent has a powerful fully powered up pokemon on the go. Before with my shitty deck i was not having this problem.

That and Shaymin is just getting harder to run. Garbodor fucks over the mill half of your deck on turn 1 draw engine and when you have to be more strategic with discards shaymin doesn't get you as many cards on average. Plus Lele allows for some draw supports other than Sycamore to shine like Lillie, Hala is a great shuffle support supplement to N, ect. We just have more options now and there's actually a reason to run them.

'standard' draw poke lineup will be 2 Lele 1 Shaymin by the time worlds hits.

Tried making a Golisopod deck. Drawing the right cards have been a struggle.Hitting Elixers have been hard as well. Dunno if its just my luck or the deck sucks.
Hitting an Elixer is ideal then dropping a DCE + FOGP and then evolve into Golisopod during turn 1.

It's still the mill deck but with Greninja Back, and now Ninetales and Choice Band it's not going to be played at any big competition.

If you want to run it the deck is still fun for trolling ladders. You play it similar to the old Houndoom/Raticate build in which you go after your opponent's energy but use the new fire Oricorio and Burning Energy over the rat line.

Fliptini/Garb mill is also a thing and may be better but I haven't tested it.I think Garb might be just be OP in any deck.

Nigga what? Yveltal-EX made the game a one deck format back in XY and it took six whole decks of them gimping the fuck out of the type to not just ruin the game entirely. Then they made BKT Zoroark and what happens, it shoots back to tier 1 again but because Night March was broken that generally won against it.

Garbodor is just absurdly broken and there's no sugarcoating that. PCL just need to admit that they have absolutely no idea how to balance the game and need to start being more proactive in banning stuff.

Psychic tickled my fancy. Grass is too costly ATM. Metal is cheap at 5 GUR packs each. Lightning is hard to tell and Fighting is pretty nice. Same as Grass.

I prefer my energies to have simple designs. The way the colors pop is extremely aesthetically pleasing along with their simple designs, especially on TCGO. I'll admit it's a little much if you're running like 12 SR energy, but if you just have like 1-2 in a deck it's super satisfying to topdeck that one crisp golden energy.

Call of legends does nothing for me. It's just so bland.

There's 1 slot in every pack dedicated to reverse holos, and 1 slot dedicated to your rare.

Your reverse holo can be any card in the set, common or rare. It will just be that card with a foil background. Also some cards like GX's and full arts don't have a reverse holo version so if that comes in your reverse holo slot you will just get 2 rares.

A holo rare is just another level of "rareness" above regular rare. The artwork will be holo, but the rest of the card is normal. And of course holo-rares themselves have reverse holo versions but they will take up the reverse holo slot of your pack instead
