So we're getting Kanto DLC right?
>>32605242
wouldn't it be too big for a dlc/expansion/update? The game is huge as it is, forcing all limits of the old 3ds.
>>32605242
Not a dlc, remake or a sequel probably
>>32605242
>Kanto
Just after the annivesary. Nope
>>32605242
>DLC
Never gonna happen.
>Pokemon

>>32605242
>making it paid dlc rather than a full $50 release

Nintendo doesn't make Pokémon games even if The Pokémon Company = Game Freak + Nintendo + Creatures.
Don't these games already feature kanto?
>>32607202
Alola is not in Kanto. The Sevii Islands are also not in Kanto but it'd be nice to revisit them since they revealed some of the backstory on the Johto plot in GSC and HGSS.
>>32605242
>DLC
>>32605242
it's too hard for them, don't forget that they literally cannot put japanese events on wifi mystery gift

We are never going to get the perfect dream of a Pokemon game ever, which is all current areas of the Pokemon world in one. Doesn't matter if it makes you go chronologically from Kanto all the way to Alola, or if you can pick and choose and the game scales with you, people will buy that shit. I'm unsure of the Switch's capabilities, but running this as an MMO or with the same Battle Spot system they have now for multiplayer would be acceptable to me. Meet all the Professors, Bill and his clan, crush all the criminal organizations, fuck all the Champs up, and catch'em all your way to your own fucking mountain where NPCs or other players challenge you like the motherfucking Battle Maison, but you're not in a dress (or you are, fucking all clothing for all, or at least fucking something to personalize your own Trainer). Tell me I'm wrong.

Pretty sure a game like that would just highlight how repetitive and formulaic the series is

But opens many avenues, especially with people loving the nostalgia. Like Shop Avenue, or Pokemon Stadium type mini games, the casino's, Poke Ride's and companion Pokemon you straight up let out of the ball. Each Gen has been a piece of something that grows and decays at the same time. Objectively there is no right way to put all of the "Good" parts of the series together to make a perfect game, but there is a fuckton of good parts in each part of the series to work with or be inspired by.
