Functionally speaking they are identical.

So yes, they are retreads. Rather than do something more interesting with their concepts Gamefreak just made them pretty much the same as RSE's legends except they don't even get unique abilities for flavor.

I do think their typing makes sense and it appropriate, unlike a lot of people, but I hate their designs.

Those moves aren't exactly unique. They're reskins of other attacks and don't even utilize the characteristic they're supposed to. The only that does this in any way is Shadow Force. At least the weather trio's abilities were unique for the time (barring fug).

If you're talking about the pixies they don't actually stop Dialga/Palkia, they just break Cyrus' hold over them. The game still tells YOU to stop them (much like RS...).
