I don't hate it, although I do think it is a disappointing evolution of Spoink, I just find it so utterly forgettable. It is a pig with some pearls weirdly glued on it, that's about it. Also its gimmick is that it controls other beings through dance or some shit, which doesn't come across though its design or even its animations at all.

I think he doesn't get attention because he's so hard to get and use in a proper playthrough, meaning he has mostly competitive appeal to work on. He's a rare mon in the beginning of the game or found common after Blackthorn in Gen 2, you get him in the safari zone in gen 3 right before being bombarded with water types, and it's either postgame or transfer in every other game besides XD.

Here's why I like Barbaracle. I like the idea of a bunch of Binacle, a Pokemon who seems completely useless and looks like it can barely move, coming together like a Voltron to form something that can stand up like a person and actually fight.
