Gen 5 should've dropped the soft-reboot mentality and scrapped the copy-pasta Pokémon for proper cross-gen evolutions. Who the fuck cares about Machop line 2.0, Grimer line 2.0 and Hitmons 2.0 when we could have gotten the Jynx, Farfetch'd and Starmie evolutions we've been craving for decades. Not to mention Maractus and Alomomola WEREN'T cross-gen evolutions.

If they wont give us more true evos like Crobat, Tangrowth, etc. I dont see why they cant do new branched evos like Slowking in the future. Those would eliminate the eviolite issue (assuming the eviolite thing isn't just an autistic /vp/ meme).

If Eviolite is an issue, remove it. Bank doesnt allow players to port items over. Make the next games without it. Or, change how it works.

Regional Variants are another step int he right direction too. I hope we can get more of those.

I wish that if they do introduce new Evos, they would use existing means of evolution rather than repeatedly introducing new ones. Every exclusive trade evolution item, the icy and moss rocks, evolving in the rain or snow, and so many other weird conditions are exclusive to one line of mons. Build on what's been introduced instead of constantly introducing new convoluted means of evolution(without a walkthrough, how would you ever think to leave an extra space for Shedinja or flip your 3ds upside-down for Malamar?).

gen 4 and 6 are disgusting
gen 1, 3, and 5 are nice
gen 7 and 2 are the closest to a middle ground
