I'm watching all of the pokemon series and I'm in the middle of BW right now. Despite Ash being a complete retard I'm enjoying this so much, and he started doing some nice decisions in combat against Yacon he didn't even look so fucking retarded there.

The Team Rocket is leagues above what it was on the other series and only that makes this series worth it. I don't know where the hate for BW came from, but it's way better than the repetitive garbage of the team rocket doing stupid things every single episode.
And after over9000 episodes Brock was fucking annoying. Taking him out was the best decision.

I'm on episode 66 of the first season. I don't know if the series get worse later. But now it's pretty good so far.

To be honest I didn't even really watch BW and primarily like her and Cabernet for their designs. This seems partially for the best since I'm unsure of how well Pokemon could do personality, at least for a rival character.

If you want a serious answer, the reason why people keep bringing up the comparison between BW and SM is because they both came after great actionpacked series (DP and XY respectively) and they are much more comedy oriented, although SM takes it to a whole new level while BW had Oshashit.

She's plenty arrogant towards Iris, but she's generally able to back it up, and Iris fully deserves the shit Langley gives her.

The people who like BW are the ones who loved lobotomized Team Rocket.
