They're treated separate, but just like Megas, you can't get A-Greninja without normal Greninja. A-Greninja isn't a permanent form, like Rotom forms or Kyurem forms. it's a temporary form, one that requires normal Greninja.
If they ban Greninja, you can't use Greninja in OU. If you can't use Greninja in OU, you can't get A-Greninja. So, A-Greninja will also be unusable if Greninja is banned. This is obvious shit, anons.

The only way Protean Greninja alone can be banned, while Battle Bond Greninja stays is if they ban the ability Protean altogether. So no Pokemon can have that ability. That is the only situation in which Protean Greninja will be banned, but A-Greninja stays OU.

No. They would just ban Greninja as a whole. No complex ban needed because Ash-gren is considered a different pokemon in the game coding and would not get banned. It's similar to Lando-I being banned but Lando-T still being allowed.

After Protean Greninja is gone, the meta will have to settle for a while, but a Lele suspect is very probable, however I don't think it will be banned. What I can see happening is an Arena Trap Suspect( which it was what they should have done in the place of the Dugtrio suspect).

I only really want Ash greninja gone. Might need a kill to transform, sure, but it has all the tools to easily do so and it thrives on revenge kills. It becomes a pain to fight against after battle bond and for some reason gains enough speed to outspeed literally every non-scarf mon in OU bar 2 megas. It didn't even need even more speed considering it is already fast in base form, can hold items ala megafug, has a fucking base 60 STAB priority move and abusive coverage for a water type, but oh well you know gamefreak and its balance.

Lele is a bitch and wouldn't mind it gone, but so far a few steel types still do the job against it even if it runs HP fire or focus blast. It will likely be banned anyways.

Protean greninja also wouldn't mind gone, but for some reason I don't have problems against it most of the time.

Except that in ingame data, the only things that an Aura Break and a Power Construct Zygarde, much like a Protean Greninja and a Battle Bond Greninja, is the sprite. For every other purposes they're treated by IN GAME DATA as completely separate Pokémon. It's not some artificial distinction, it's game mechanics.
