When was the last time you thought about Cacnea?

3 days ago, was making an Emerald team and considered him

Today, actually.

I was scrolling through all of the Grass types thinking: "If another Pokemon were to get Grassy Surge, who would it be?"

I saw Cacnea, and while he wasn't a fit for the proposed ability change, I remembered how cute and cool I thought he was in my R/S days.

Can you even catch Cacnea outside of Hoenn?
I feel like you always go straight to catching Cacturne and that Cacnea is just overlooked.

not before the champion. you can find some of them on the desert route in sinnoh (although wild cacturne are more common), and they can show up in the johto safari zone if you have it set up properly, (and cacturne can also appear there too). cacturne can also be caught in b2w2 via swarms, and through the friend safari in xy. looks like you're right about cacnea getting ignored ;_;

You can catch it in gen IV, but in BW2 and XY you have to breed Cacturne.

I had one in run of Sapphire iiiin, 2013? For about 5 levels it just had Growth/Leech Seed/Ingrain/Sand Atttack

everyday because cacturne is my favorite grass type, and everytime i think of or see a grass mon i think of cacturne, and this is my favorite image of cacturne which also includes many cacneas
