These are mostly correct. Can't say I like Grovyle any more than I do Sceptile, but Bayleef and Ivysaur are better than Meganium and Venusaur. Mid-stage grass starters are mostly shit though.

Bayleef is overrated. It's an ugly shade of snot yellow with dull leaves around its neck that make it look like a clown.
Meganium has a much more pleasant color pallet, and a nice flower around its neck. And it doesn't have that stupid single nail sticking out of its feet like Bayleef has.

Mah d00ds. Scyther has always been my favorite.

Also, Technician Scyther can still wreck with Choice Band and it's 110 Base Attack and 105 Base Speed. Is it going to sweep? Hell no. But depending on when you play it, it can take a few Pokes down. Just watch out for Stealth Rock. And Eviolite Scyther has surprising bulk. Too bad about it's typing, though.

I love Eviolite Scyther myself. It makes for a good baton passer, or you can just have it set up a few swords and sweep itself.
Agreed on the typing though, it's a shame that Gamefreak both made so many Bug/Flying mon, and made the typing combo shit.

Definitely Bulbasaur and Ivysaur. I looked at Venusaur recently without nostalgia and realised it's actually really fucking ugly. Torchic and Combusken too. I don't like Blaziken at all. Fennekin and Braixen are better than Delphox too.

On the whole, I prefer fully evolved Pokemon though.

There's nothing to like about Swadloon except the "hikikomori" aspect, Leavanny is miles better.
Joltik has cute factor, so I can understand a bit, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with Galvantula, it's the best spider in the franchise.

Yeah, the main issue with Sceptile is that it abandons everything about Grovyle except the arm blades. Seems more like a Treecko with an awkward growth spurt as result which is funny as middle stages are the "going through puberty" designs but somehow Grovyle manages to look unique from Treecko compared to Sceptile.
