Besides in my region Slugma is pretty rare so I finally got a Magcargo. And it'll probably get me a Fire-type medal in a few days.

I wish Larvitar would spawn more frequently, though. I hear about people getting ten Larvitar spawns a day and I'm just walking my single lucky hatch for 500km.

Before I jused an App called IvStats where all Pokémon were sorted by total IVs. But the app doesn't work anymore.

Thanksgiving was probably the best for me because it was when I was much lower leveled, and I jumped about 3/4 levels to 30 during that week, which is the big milestone.
It was also back when I didn't have a constant supply of 5000 stardust every morning because I didn't have good enough Pokemon to stay in 10+ gyms, so the double stardust was bliss, got up to about 500,000 and it lasted me up till Gen II

Everyone hordes the shit b/c it is so precious and to boost a single mon to max it takes like 150-250k dust which takes weeks to get legit. I just want to have fun and max out some of my favorite mons that are actual shit, like butterfree, starmie, would be cool to be able to boost my charizard and not regret it forever. instead they keep us starved, and it is just not fun. They have a mix of content that is in the form of a high tier mmo and the most basic shit ever.

example: We look at IVs (high tier) and cp, decide how high we want to boost them for most effective mons, but gym system (low tier) non of it even fucking matters. JUST LET US HAVE FUN!

I found that my town actually does have a local scanner, so I've been burning gas driving all over the place to catch larvitars. Literally the only other rares that spawn with any reliability around me are dratinis and the occasional snorlax, although I was able to catch a mareep. This shit is a game changer.

I also had a nest turn rhyhorn, so I evolved 4 of them (including a high cp/iv mofo that was in the 2700 range after popping out), and I still have 3 available candidates left.

Only downside is that I'm down to 11 pinaps, and I've learned that my town is shit in terms of rares.
