You've got to wonder if "Z-Powered Forms" like Lillie talks about are gonna be the thing in the next games.

Because Alola mons are all so universally average (except for legends and the Kanto mons) that it really seems like GF are holding out on us.

Just why the fuck did Gamefreak not give it Chlorophyll or Solar Power so that it can use it's new signature move? Instead it gets Contrary which only benefit one move, on it's weaker offensive stat, and is completely outclassed at that role by another existing pokemon.

That's hardly comparable though. Showderp battles mostly against the lowest of low ladder opponents . OUPL is a big shot tournament with highly experienced players.

Instead of GF being stupid and making this a pure grass type pretending to be a bug pretending to be a flower it should have been a pure fairy type pretending to be a bug pretending to be a flower. Make it murderous with scythes (high attack and speed) instead of "beams" and maybe it would've been at least a little more usable with pixilate or some other "fairy" ability. Serene grace maybe?
