I don't think Corsola will benefit them much. They don't really run any 1 Mp mons except for Manaphy who you don't really want to be sending down field anyways. Corsala is more of an alternative to Manaphy.

Corals only boosts 1mp figs. So... Manaphy and Kyogre. The first one is already a bit of a liability in that you are essentially playing a figure down to boost your other figures. And Kyogre still doesn't seem that worth it at 2 mp.

Steel types got the best boost. Love using 170bp Hyper beam with Metagross, especially when the other options are 110 Metal Claw and 50 gold Bullet Punch

It's definitely a good option, send Kyogre deep into enemy territory quickly and Tidal Wave everyone out of the way.

Keep in mind others will be using Corsola and Manaphy/Kyogre, so clashing with other Kyogres could get you that Primal Rage boost anyway.

I dunno. that 50 power section seems to big a weakness Imo. You could boost it to 70 with a Manaphy but then your playing with 2 individually weaker figures and you're probably totally screwed if you lose either one of them. I'd like Corsola a lot more if its Mirror Coat was actually useful but I feel like 2 star Mirror does almost nothing. It does make Deo-A a joke though so at least it has that going for it.

Yet another gym where people run the strongest figs and completely ignore the type buffs

I was so pumped to take a screenshot of my metagross hopping on goal and the opponent forfeited. Super disappointed.
