What is the point of this? You're not really making a statement.

Ash is overjoyed and smug, he's still in his "I'm the greatest Pokémon Master ever!" stage at this point despite having literally one day's experience.

Misty is miffed because he's behaving like an idiot and catching a stupidly weak Pokémon without a single attack being spent is no accomplishment.

Pikachu is curious because he doesn't know either of them well at this point so their interaction is fascinating to him.

This just makes me miss the original series, everything nowadays seems so generic and crappy
