Outlandish characters, a little too much edge, and the fact that the game was made with Essentials. The field effects would be pretty cool if the enemies weren't the sole beneficiaries 80% of the time. The soundtrack is mostly stuff that was already composed by Glitchxcity, so the soundtrack is unoriginal, though not necessarily bad.

The game implements the post-apocalyptic feel well in a Pokémon setting, especially in the way it portrays the Pokémon themselves within the world. The difficulty will also put even the most knowledgeable player's skills to the test, since the field effects make boss battles that much harder.

I haven't played through the whole thing yet, but from what I've experienced, it's still pretty solid for a fangame. It definitely has its flaws, but it's still fun.

Rejuvenation is way better.

I think somewhere along the story. I was all up for the whole shantytown thing, and the writing was decent (as in the characters feel human), but I think the plot itself is weak. It's rather sequential, expecting nothing out of it and making me feel nothing out it.
It was really funthe whole dark setting and difficulty though. I played due to it and that's what I got. But I also feel the map design was great, makibg me explore the shit out of it.
If there was less of tumblr in the game it'd be for the best tho

Not him, but to me it felt like that too. Rejuvenation had something Reborn didn't to me that made me like it more. I have no idea what it was, but I feelit was somewhere along in the plot, though it loses in the difficulty design (fields are there solely for bosses, while Reborn makes you experience them beforehand for example, other times they are completely one-sided etc.)
It also helps that Rejuv feels less tumblr.
I think it's also due to the adventure feel Rejuv has

Don't get me wrong, the game has some fine things, but it started as a ripoff of reborn no matter how you see it. The guy who made it can call it a homage or "inspired by" and I don't question they honestly were aiming for that, sure, but the game they made still feels dangerously close to being just reborn in a different region. It borrows far more things than it should:

I can understand if you say you enjoyed reju over reborn, but on the base level reborn is a better game just for being more original on its core elements. A game that spawned from reborn adoration that I do think is a contender on the same level is desolation, but I digress.

Reborn characters may be rp-based, but when one plays, one cannfeel that majority of them (with exceptions) act like people would. By comparison, badly written characters, not dumb comic relief ones, would completely different. Take Full Moon for example. You don't have a person intelligent enough to become a doctor be a brocon brat that would battle the brother's girlfriend for a completely dumb reason just for the battle to happen (it was to prove he was more sad than her).

Take a similar situation, Victoria in Reborn that uselessly and retardedly stood in the players way and had to battle against. Two of the occasions were to stop us from going further and doing something that is possibly endangering people. In short-therm was fine, in long Victoria was just causing more damage. She is a super-special OC and all, but you can feel her acting human and having a cause for her actions and you can understand why she was doing that regardless of how stupid they were
