Talonflame didn't experience any powercreep, its offensive stats were never good enough to really accomplish much.

Its only redeeming factor was a 120BP + STAB priority move. An ability nerf is not powercreep though.

Gen VI hurt it a lot. It's Special Attack became nothing to write home about. Raikou was finally able to jump ahead of it because bulk got a lot more important. Megaectric beat Jolteon in the moves, Special Attack and ability department. Then finally Tapu Koko happened.

Getting Galvanize and some more moves would have really helped it bounce back up. It is really amazing how long Jolteon was able to last in OU, though. All of the Eeveelutions are suffering now and days.
