Earlier this year, my apartment was broken into and all of my games were stolen. I didn't have anything stored in my pokebank, so I lost every pokemon I've ever caught.
What is the fewest amount of games I need to play through in order to complete my living dex?
What's the best strategy to complete it if you're starting from nothing again?

Technically you only need one game and trade for the version exclusives. Mythicals would be impossible to obtain, though.

if you use the GTS, you can do it with sun or moon only. for the normal stuff just put up something not too commonly seen like pineco
for legendaries just get a competitive pokemon and ask for said legendary. although some legendaries are easy to get, like virizion. they go up for real cheap if you stalk the gts for them.
doing a living dex myself, thats how im doing it, currently at 19-20 boxes
