What's wrong with that? It's simple. It is overused and not "creative", and kind of defeats the purpose of giving a nickname to make your Pokemon unique in the first place, but it's not a bad name.

Seeing this only made me realize Ash never named his pokemon, not even Pikachu. He's just Pikachu. Heck, the anime rarely has named pokemon.
