Not a chance. He'll be largely ignored just like everything else in this show, and his backstory and motivations will be completely gone. Even if they make him out to be some kind of rival character, the show doesn't have the atmosphere to HAVE a rival, it makes no sense. There is NO WAY this can turn out well. NONE.
