Why is this OST so hated

Pokemon designs and music are the two things XY did right. But since this is /vp/ you have to pretend to hate every single thing about them or you will be called an underage kalosperm.

The only theme I didn't like was the gym leader theme but that eventually grew on me. I've noticed that when people say the soundtrack sucked on here they only ever mention that track so I assume they're just being contrarian faggots.

I have to agree with this anon. It was pretty bland and generic, though I like the Jubilife City theme they had.

It doesn't have any memesongs like BW and SM and they didn't grow up with it so it's shit

In all seriousness it's a pretty solid soundtrack but it doesn't really exceed anywhere, the most standout track is Battle! Gym Leader which is gonna be love or hate because it's so different from typical Pokemon music. It would fit more naturally into a racing game of some sort.

Shota Kageyama (the sound leader) with his generic and bland style was the problem. The Hitomi Sato's and Minako Adachi's (Anistar city) compositions are good but few and the lack of Go Ichinose was the worst part.
