Game freak, for when the hidden abilities of alola starters

The only one that makes a difference is Incineroar.
Probably at the end of Gen Vll, but don't worry, you can get still another lycanroc! Lucky you!
For what purpose. The are still useless with hidden abilties

I personally just like having more options. Its why I was ok with Ash-Greninja and more pokemon each gen.
>>32469857
Useless for what? They are all relevant in different formats.

I dunno, there's a lot more to Long Reach than I had originally thought.
It ignores the Defense boost from Fluffy.
It prevents the secondary effects of Baneful Bunker, Beak Blast, King's Shield, and Spiky Shield from activating.
No damage is taken from Rough Skin, Iron Barbs, Rocky Helmet, or Aftermath.
Also Cute Charm, Effect Spore, Flame Body, Gooey, Mummy, Poison Point, Static, and Tangling Hair can't proc.
It's a lot more situational, but at least it isn't as useless as Liquid Voice. Scald is still better than a Water-type Hyper Voice (which doesn't even receive a 1.2x power bonus).

It a decent ability its just introduced in a generation of mostly meh mons and put on a overall Average mon.

I think that the real problem is that it only affects Leaf Blade and Sucker Punch. Spirit Shackle and Sinister Arrow Raid already don't make contact. It isn't useless, but, for Decidueye, it won't make much of a difference.
Liquid Voice is actually useless because Sparkling Aria already is a water type Hyper Voice (being a water-type sound move) and its only use is in doubles. On the plus side, Torrent is better than it seems for a slow bulky Pokémon like Primarina, I guess.

Decidueye almost exclusively runs Spirit Shackle for damage, which isn't a contact move. Spamming a (STAB) Ghost move is vastly superior to spamming a Grass move.
Long Reach would be better on many other Pokemon, but on Decidueye it's nothing more than an entertaining notion considering it's the mon it premieres with.

Sigh. It's almost like they made the HAs to synergize as bad as they possibly could with these Pokémon's signature moves.

Game freak seems to have an obnoxious habit of making new unique abilities then putting them on pokemon who cant make use of them or never releasing them.
>>32470043
Leaf Blade, Sucker Punch, U-Turn, Brave Bird, Pluck (Which I've found useful with the rising use of HP-restoring Berries), Low Sweep, Steel Wing, and heck, even Grass Knot if you wanna be that guy.

Rocky Helmet is not popular on anything in UU right now as far as I'm aware. It's very occasionally on Hyppowdon, and that's it.
Fluffy is literally on one Pokémon.
Everything else I'm pretty sure is irrelevant.
And for the moves you mentioned, it's definitely nice for U-turn, but the others are just not worth using on Decidueye right now. Admittedly I haven't tried it for a while and I've only seen the SD+Z-move set so I don't know it for a fact, but I'm pretty sure they are just not very viable options.
