Is Kyogre any good?

Kyogre is fun when you're lucky, but its 130 is exactly the same size as its 50, and that huge single star purple makes it Mew/ Gren bait, while also being able of being ko'd by unevolved Blastoise's mirror coat. Think of it like this: lots of the strongest figures in the meta rn kill Kyogre 3/4 times. The only things it has going for it are the large dodge areas and the fact that sometimes it will get a power boost vs an opponent's Kyogre (which I never saw happen, because most people above 2000 in the gym aren't running it). It's the definition of an inconsistent figure, and it isn't worth the 1mp.

I should also note that I had replaced a Magikarp on my team for Kyogre, which was a terrible decision in retrospect because Gyarados is consistent, 3mp, and always has the potential to kill / Storm any figure in the gym. For reference, Gyarados' Storm is larger than Kyogre's Hydro Pump by 28/96 to 20/96, which is a big fucking deal. If you level Gyarados' Storm, it will land a 1/3 of the time, while Kyogre's Hydro Pump will land 1/4 of the time. This is all also ignoring the fact that Magikarp is ironically the best defensive figure in the game due to taking a free hit / potential for Flail vs miss cheese kills. Long story short, you're better off running a second or third Gyarados over Kyogre.

I have a problem with this game. Actually I'm running a Zekrom/Reshiram deck, and since they kinda need to win combats to be effective, I see myself losing 3/4 attacks. Both figures have miss, an big fly and I don't have good fighters/runners to keep game going till I can deploy Zek/Resh combo.

ATM I'm using Shuppet/Deo A/ Rayquaza/Empoleon/Zekrom/Reshiram. 2 Overdrive, Hurdle Jump, Switch and Double Chance.

I don't like Shuppet or 1mp mons on twin dragons builds because they generally require a setup that can hold your defenses until the wait 9 expires. Shuppet is easily killed and Rayquaza takes up an entry for a turn

I would use Whimsicott (fantastic synergy with twin dragons since its durable and can switch matchups, allowing you to get an easy banish) over Shupper and Moltres>Ray

You could also use the Magikarp->Gyara over Ray if you have it

Even post-nerf, the Deoxys are still extremely strong and above-curve figures. 130 on a white is no joke, especially when you can force an opponent to respin. No one's running Metagross or Tropical anymore so there's even less resistant. Reuniclus is in the same boat too.

They're still amazing figures, you just don't automatically win with them.

Destiny Bond is only okay if you're not defending and the enemy has 1/2 more figures than you. Manipulative can push away opponents for cheese strategies combined with it's Forest Mystery ability, and 110 is a great consistent attack against most figures.

Destiny Bond destroys its Defensive capabilities, so it's safe to say Trevenant is meant to be a wall or entry taking figure, albeit super shit compared to Moltres
